Privacy Policy

Effective August 11, 2025

Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how GenAI Learning Solutions, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses personal information from users ("you," "your") of the LawGrader software application (the "Service"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information in an open, accountable, and transparent manner.

Personal information we collect

We collect personal information you provide directly to us when you create an account, use the Service, or communicate with us. This may include personal information like your name, email address, and personal information contained in supplied written work, which is retained until you delete that work.

How we use personal information

The personal information we collect is used to provide, maintain, and improve the Service, to communicate with you, and to comply with our legal obligations.

Third-party services and sharing

We do not sell or trade your personal information to third parties. We do not share or transfer your personal information with third parties, except as required by law or as necessary to provide the Service, for example to third-party service providers. The Service uses foundational model services supplied by third parties, currently OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google. You acknowledge that these third-party services are governed by their own privacy policies. Your content is not used to train or fine-tune any model, ours or a provider's. Google Workspace APIs used in this app are not used to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or ML models.

Data security and retention

We implement appropriate and reasonable security measures designed to protect your personal information, and we regularly update our security practices to help safeguard it. However, we cannot guarantee protection from hackers and unauthorized third parties who seek to capture personal information provided over public networks.

We only retain your personal information for as long as is necessary to provide the Service to you, and we will delete your personal information if you submit a deletion request. Work you delete is removed permanently, along with the files behind it, after a recovery window of 30 days.

International data transfers

The Service is controlled and operated in the United States of America. Your personal information may be transferred to, and maintained on, computers or servers located outside of your state, province, or country where the data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.

Your rights

You have certain rights in relation to the personal information we hold about you, including the right to access, correct, or delete that information, subject to certain limitations.

Student data and children's privacy

With respect to the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA"), which outlines what operators of websites and online services must do to protect children's privacy and safety online, we do not specifically market to children under 13, the Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We rely on schools and educators to obtain and provide appropriate consents and disclosures for the use of student data as needed for the Service. You represent and warrant that you have the authority to provide any such student data to us, and that you have provided appropriate disclosures to students and parents as necessary regarding your sharing of student data with service providers such as us.

Changes to this policy

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the Service and on our website.
